I have talked with all of the remaining runners on our team about the Nike Heartland Cross Country Regional in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Sunday, November 9.

For those interested in going, they should have received a permission form that must be signed by a parent and returned to me ASAP. I have to send those in prior to 11/9 and would like to get that taken care of soon.

I have everyone registered for the meet and have already paid the entry fee. Because this is not an "official" school race, the school will not cover the entry fee like the rest of our regular season meets. We are asking everyone to bring me $20 to cover the entry fee. This can be cash or check to Millard West Cross Country.

States Included: Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin

Location: Yankton Trail Park, Sioux Falls, SD

Race Day Schedule: There are 6 different boys sections and 4 different girls sections. All of our boys will race at 11:00 a.m. in Boys Section 6. All of our girls will race at 11:55 a.m. in Girls Section 1.

Transportation: We do not provide transportation to this meet. Some will go up the night before and some will drive up the morning of the meet. Either way, we are asking the boys to be at our team camp by 9:45 a.m. and the girls to be at our team camp by 10:30 a.m.

Awards: All of the sections will be combined in the results and for awards. Medals to top 3 individuals and plaques to top 3 teams. Top 21 individuals receive a Nike "Top Finisher" T-shirt.

The course is open on 11/8 from Noon-5:00 p.m. if people go up the day before and would like to check out the course. I will pick up the team packets on Saturday and have the numbers at the tent on Sunday morning.

Parking: On race day, they will be charging $15/vehicle to enter the park. This includes re-entry. You can buy a parking pass early on Saturday (11/8) with cash or card. No charge on Saturday.
